Clinton "Andy" Finke Jr.

Clinton Andrew “Andy” Finke, Jr., 51, of Beecher City, IL passed away at 12:58 a.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Andy was born on July 7, 1969, in Effingham, the son of Clinton and Shirley (Russell) Finke Sr. He married the love of his life, Melissa Sloan, on September 17, 2011.  Andy worked as a mechanic at Central Illinois Classic in Effingham.  He enjoyed working on old cars and trucks, especially his Chevy S-10 and spending time with family and friends. 

Andy is survived by his wife, Melissa Finke of Beecher City; father and stepmother, Clinton (Carol) Finke Sr. of Tennessee; children:  Clinton Andrew (Megan) Finke, Allan (Michelle) Finke, Heather Finke-Wallace, Courtney Simmons, Chelsie Finke and Anthony Finke; sister, Tamara Gelsinger of Effingham; brother, Craig Finke of Effingham and numerous grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Shirley Watts; son, James Ryan Finke; two grandchildren:  Phoenix and Charlie Rose.

A celebration of life gathering will be held for family and friends on Saturday, May 15, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 1769, 2304 S. Veterans Dr., Effingham, IL.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
