Darlene C. (McQueen) Splittorff

Darlene C. Splittorff, 62, of Windsor, IL passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, IL. 

Darlene was born on July 18, 1959, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Robert and Trenna (Matheny) McQueen.  She was a 1977 graduate of Windsor High School.  Darlene and James Splittorff Jr. were married in 1982 and were blessed with 40 years of marriage.  She was a member of the Windsor Christian Church and the Windsor American Legion Auxiliary.  Darlene was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan who adored her grandchildren and treasured time with her loved ones.  

She leaves behind her husband, James Splittorff Jr. of Windsor; children:  Jacey Splittorff of Mattoon and Lacey Splittorff of Windsor; five grandchildren:  Wyatt, Olivia and Colton McCall of Mattoon and Wesley and Victoria Splittorff of Windsor; siblings:  Alva McQueen, Penny Riley and Cindy McQueen, all of Windsor; sister-in-law, Kimberly (Randy) McQueen-Wilson of Windsor; brothers-in-law:  Lonnie Splittorff and Dennis (Lori) Splittorff, both of Albion and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Trenna McQueen; twin brother, Dennis McQueen; brothers:  Dennis, Earl and Randy “Moe” McQueen; father and mother-in-law, James and Charlotte Splittorff Sr. and brother-in-law, Bruce Splittorff. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022, in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.  A private family burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Windsor Area Ambulance Service, 1016 Maine St., Windsor, IL 61957 or mailed to Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, 207 N. Oak St., Windsor, IL 61957.  Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.
