Debra Hardin Obituary

Debra Mae Hardin, 50, of Windsor, IL, departed this life much too soon on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. 

Debra was born on July 10, 1971, in Kokomo, IN, the daughter of George and Pauletta (Chapman) Wilkerson.  She was a 1988 graduate of Windsor High School.  Debra and Carl Hardin were married on February 17, 1990. Debra was the happiest when taking care of others.  She was the most amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and coworker.  Debra took great pride in raising her children and later spoiling and loving her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  In her free time, she enjoyed supporting her grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews in their activities, supporting her community or lending a hand to one in need.  She was a member of the Smyser Christian Church in Gays and the Crossover Church in Mattoon.  She worked as a new business liaison for Optimas OE Solutions in Chicago where she was well liked and respected by her coworkers.  Debra was truly a beautiful person inside and out. 

She leaves behind her husband, Carl Hardin of Windsor; children:  Shawnee (Josh) Markland of Erwin, TN, Cheyenne Hardin and Devon Livingston, both of Windsor; two grandchildren:  Dustin and Aria, both of Erwin, TN; brother, David King of Vandalia; sister, Martha (Larry) Wiback of Windsor; mother-in-law, Alice Hardin of Mattoon; sister-in-law, Karen (Bob) Isom of Terre Haute, IN and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Tina Eccles; father-in-law, George Hardin and brother-in-law, Keith Wakefield.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Walters officiating.  Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Fit-2-Serve, 1320 Lafayette Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938, which was near and dear to Debra’s heart.  Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.
