Gary L. Wagner, 73, of Findlay, IL, passed away at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at home with his loved ones by his side.
Gary was born on October 21, 1948, in Findlay, the son of Wayne and LaMona (Hudson) Wagner. He was a 1966 graduate of Findlay High School. Gary was a very talented musician who was well known in the area for his musical talents. He played with Gary Lee & the Wanderers and Night Moves. Gary owned and operated Wagner’s Carpentry, farmed and drove for Maple Tree Transport as an RV transporter. He was a member of the Findlay Jaycees.
Surviving are his significant other, Belinda Baker of Findlay; four children: Jeff (Cathy) Wagner of Mattoon, Amy (Dustin) Fink of Mt. Zion, Lisa (Jeremy) Clark of Mattoon and Walker Wagner of Findlay; five grandchildren: Megan, Taylor, Chase, Ella and Breck; four great-grandchildren: Parker, Murphy, Greyson and Wells; siblings: Cherron (John) Buzzard of Shelbyville, Butch (Carol) Wagner of Findlay, Stanley (Linda) Wagner of Windsor and Jackie (Sid) Richardson of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Nathan Jesse officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Findlay Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
