Ione F. Doty

Ione F. Doty, 96, of Beecher City, IL passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Evangel United Methodist Church in Beecher City, IL with Pastor Paul Bauer officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Beecher City, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given in Ione's name to the Evangel United Methodist Church in Beecher City, IL. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City, IL is assisting the family.

Ione was born November 27, 1922, in St. Elmo, IL, the daughter of Jeff and Nell (Siddens) Kramer. Ione and Hurrell Doty were united in holy matrimony on December 2, 1939, in St. Louis, MO and were blessed with 62 wonderful years together before his passing on June 20, 2002. Ione worked as a CNA at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL for over 35 years where she was adored by all that knew her. She was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Beecher City and served on the AGAPE Committee at church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and light houses.

Surviving are her daughter, Judith Doty of Port Orange, FL; three granddaughters: Lilah Feuquay of Sigel, IL, Annette Wesselman of Beecher City, IL and Ginger (Virgil) Strauch of Beecher City, IL; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Dolores Woodall of Farmersville, IL and Gloria Patterson of Farina, IL and sister-in-law, Norma Siebert of Altamont, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Nell Kramer; husband, Hurrell Doty; daughter, Delilah "Dally" Zumbahlen and one sister.
