James Loveall Obituary

James E. Loveall, 53, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Jim was born on January 15, 1969, in Lincoln, the son of Jay and Peggy (Baker) Loveall.  Jim was a 1987 graduate of Mt. Pulaski High School.  Jim and Ethel Jane Holladay were married, and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2002.  Jim married Kristie Buzzard on December 18, 2014.  Jim worked as a press operator at Kingery Printing in Effingham and was a favorite bartender at Ichabod’s Bar & Grill for many years.    Jim was a hard worker who could fix anything and always put others needs before his own.  He was a loveable guy who enjoyed people and thought of himself as quite a jokester.  He was an avid pool player, enjoyed board games, and treasured his “Big Yellow Truck.”  Jim was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Surviving are his loving wife, Kristie Loveall of Effingham; son, Brennen Loveall of Effingham; stepchildren:  Bryce (Jacey) Bushue of St. Peter, Branden Bushue of Mason, Blake Bushue of Mason and Bailey Bushue of Effingham; five step-grandchildren;  parents:  Peggy and Chuck Ladue of Poplarville, MS and Jay Loveall of Lincoln; grandmother, Wanda DeTar of Texas; father-in-law, Dallas (Sherry) Buzzard of Beecher City; sister, Carrie (Josh) Keith of Carterville; brother-in-law, Brad Buzzard of Effingham; nephew, Ryan Grant of Effingham; special friends, Jesse, Stephanie and Talon Hollinshead and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Clarice Buzzard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Pastor Nick Robertson officiating.  Burial will take place in Lorton Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City.  Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity and mailed to 302 W.
