Kacy Michael Alday

Kacy Michael Alday, 24, of Assumption, IL, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in which his girlfriend, Stephanie Kay Newton, also passed away.  

Kacy was born on January 9, 1997, in Shelbyville, the son of James D. Hudson and Andrea Alday.  He was a 2015 graduate of Cowden-Herrick High School.  Kacy was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed target shooting, riding dirt bikes and spending time with his children. 

Surviving are his parents:  Andrea (Justin) Doty of Bethany and James D. (Dawn) Hudson of Shelbyville; children:  Lucas James Michael Alday of Cowden and Addison Jayde Alday of Assumption; two sisters:  Carlene Doty and Nataleigh Doty, both of Bethany; brothers:  Damean Doty, Trenton Doty, Travis Doty, Jaxson Doty, Ivan Doty, all of Bethany, Kyle (Samantha) Cox of Villa Grove and Drew (Holly) Cox of Port Byron; grandparents:  Grant and Jody Alday of Shelbyville, Adam and Mary Thull of Lakewood, Lynn Doty of Shelbyville , James B. Hudson of Shelbyville and Kay L. Mathon of Taylorville and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Paula Sue Oldham and grandfather, Greg Brown.

Private family services will be held.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
