Mary M. Cain

Mary M. Cain, 71, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 3:38 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.

Mary was born on July 27, 1948, in Decatur, the daughter of Clay and Betty (Ludwig) Standerfer. Mary and Carl Morell were united in holy matrimony on September 9, 1989 and he passed on May 5, 2005. Mary's passion was taking care of others and she did just that working as an RN for many years. She was a member of the Shelby Christian Church and enjoyed crocheting. She loved making baby blankets for those near and dear to her heart.

Surviving are her sister, Lisa Standerfer and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Morell; brother, Richard; sisters: Cynthia Sue and Mildred; niece, Leslie Considine and nephew, David Gipson.

A special thank you to the staff at the Shelbyville Manor for their love, care and patience in caring for Mary.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will take place in French Cemetery, 1043-1069 County Rd 1350 E, Sullivan, IL 61951. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m until the time of service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be made in Mary's name to the Shelbyville Manor Activity Fund.
