Ronald G. Stilabower

Ronald G. Stilabower, 78, of New Douglas, IL, formerly of Windsor, IL, passed away at 6:09 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, IL.

Ron was born June 30, 1940, in Windsor, IL, the son of Chester and Ruth (Linvill) Stilabower. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Tower Operator for Gateway Western Railroad. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening.

Surviving are his fiancé, Linda Garner of New Douglas, IL; two sons: Ronnie Lee (Amanda) Stilabower of Xenia, OH and Keven Stilabower of Salem, IL; daughter, Dianna (John) Cody of West Union, IL; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Merriman of Stewardson, IL; two brothers: Gary (Betsy) Stilabower of Windsor, IL and Chet (Margaret) Stilabower of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charlie Stilabower.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor, IL with Pastor John Cody officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Richland Cemetery in Strasburg, IL at a later date.
