Ronald "Ron" Stuckemeyer Obituary

Ronald “Ron” L. Stuckemeyer, 61, of Beecher City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with his loved ones by his side.

Ron was born on October 18, 1959, in Effingham, the son of Ralph and Carroll (Diehl) Stuckemeyer.  He and Lea Budde were united in holy matrimony on June 14, 1980, in Altamont, and were blessed with 40 years of marriage before his passing.    Ron worked as an electrician with Integrity Electric and Plumbing in Altamont for over 20 years and was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church-Blue Point in Altamont.  He enjoyed the outdoors whether it be hunting, shooting, camping or making moonshine.  Ron was strong, gentle, kind, generous, honest, faithful and humble in all that he did.  He was a loving and attentive husband, a deeply devoted dad and a caring and loyal grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  The world was a better place with him in it, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Lea Stuckemeyer of Beecher City; three children:  Ryan Stuckemeyer of Robinson, Kristen (Dustin) Doedtman of Effingham and Jared (Jessica) Stuckemeyer of Cowden; three grandchildren:  Jeremiah, Juliana and Jaclyn Stuckemeyer, all of Cowden; siblings:  Ronda (Basil) Goers of Altamont, Cheryl (Jerry) Pruemer of Effingham, Carla (Ross) Cornett of Altamont and Cathy (Ron) Loy of Effingham; sisters-in-law:  Sharon (Allan) Soltwedel of Effingham and Ellen (Ray) Griffin of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Dennis (Phyllis) Budde of Lexington, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Carroll Stuckemeyer; in-laws, Arlan and Eunice Budde and niece, Penny Griffin.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church-Blue Point in Altamont.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church-Blue Point in Altamont with Pastor David R.
