Rosalie Streng

Rosalie Streng, 87, of Park Ridge, Illinois, formerly of Norwood Park and Edison Park, passed away on September 13, 2023, in Norwood Crossing in Chicago. 

Rosalie was born on August 20, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Irvin and Vera (Weber) Streng.  Rosalie’s mother was born in Strasburg and raised in Stewardson where Rosalie spent many summers with the Weber family which included grandparents (Louis and Minnie (Kull) Weber), aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She wrote of fond memories of past days with the family in the Stewardson area.  Rosalie was a lifelong member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norwood Park which merged into Ascension Lutheran Church in Niles.  She was a German and English teacher in District 207 (Des Plaines and Park Ridge) high schools for over 30 years.   

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, in Stewardson Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church 7429 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL 60714.  Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson is assisting the family.
