Stephen Harrison Cole

Stephen Harrison Cole, 72, of Windsor, IL passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at home. 

Steve was born on September 22, 1949, in Mattoon, the son of Gene and Kathryne (Harrison) Cole.  He was a 1967 graduate of Windsor High School.  He then entered the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.    Steve was co-owner and operator of C&S Building Movers from 1980-1993.  He was a paramedic for the Windsor Area Ambulance Service and a volunteer fireman with the Windsor Fire Department.   Steve enjoyed helping others, was a jack of all trades, always working on projects and cherished time with family. 

He is survived by six children:  Michelle Tucker, Aaron Cole, Stephen C. Cole, Rachel (Anthony) Pope, Harrison Cole and Cody Cole; siblings:  Deborah Evermon, Chris Jann, Michael Cole and Terry Cole; special cousin, Diana Jones; his partner, Chris Cole and many grandchildren.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Earl and Lidia Harrison; father, Gene Cole; mother and stepfather, Kathryne and Leonard Jann; brother, Dave Cole and sister, Cheryl Cole.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with military honors at 5:00 p.m. by the Windsor American Legion Garrett Baldridge Post 725.  Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.
