Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Susan M. Douglas, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Friday, May 6, 2022.  She left us while sleeping peacefully in her home in Windsor, IL.

Susan was born on October 26, 1947, in Charleston, the daughter of Russell and Mary (Frost) Ballinger.  She married William W. Douglas on November 24, 1965 and were blessed with 56 years of marriage. Susan dedicated her life to her family; they were her greatest joy.

Surviving are her husband, Bill of Windsor; two sons:  Marc (Jenny) Douglas and Billy (Belinda) Douglas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Altman and brother, Larry Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers:  Danny Pope and Gene Miller.

Honoring Susan’s wishes no services will be held.  Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.
